Creative Meditation

Let the body work, forget the time...

The idea of creative meditations was born from the simple need to relax after a stressful day at work. As I could not stop my thoughts rattling through my head, I have intuitively resorted to a simple, repetitive activity of stitching into paper. The sensation of the needle going through paper, the feeling of the material in my hands and the seemingly never ending activity lead to a complete peace of mind...

Since than, I have designed several other techniques, that offer the same experience and I would like to invite you try them with me...

My creative meditation techniques do not need to be taught. They are intuitive enough to be picked up by anyone, who would like to try them. There are no step-by-step instructions, the "right" or the "wrong“ ways. There is also no guarantee of aesthetically pleasing results. Sometimes it might happen, sometimes not. The process – the immediate experience- is more important than the result.

Please comment below, if you would like to take part, or get in touch on Cut and Tear Facebook page.

The first creative mediation will take place on 28th February 2015 at 2pm in our Studio

PURE JOY OF COLOUR
Come to forget the daily life and immerse yourself in a fun and tactile activity - playing with the vibrant wax pastels on the rough surface of sandpaper. The pictures will be then printed (ironed) on paper. Seeing the colours melt, creating fabulous unexpected images, is very satisfactory. No experience needed, no stress, just fun and relaxation.
